NOVA Pesquisa e Assessoria em Educação is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation founded in 1973 by a group of Social and Human Sciences professionals, with a commitment to providing the educational work carried out with social and popular movements.

Some years late, NOVA assumes the commitment of publishing registers of accumulative knowledge from its experience and dialogues with its interlocutors.

In accordance with changes of national and international scenes, along its 30 years of existence, NOVA has been diversifying its public and the subjects it works with, always in the perspective of influencing the development process of a plural and egalitarian society.
